Dear Parents and Spinnakers here are the times for our first competition. Remember to always be there 30 minutes earlier incase teams scratch or they are running ahead. As you know your daughters are working hard to go and dominate this competition so the more support they can get the better. Start letting people know the times and lets fill the bleachers with blue and gold xoxoxo.
Military: 1:45 pm
Dance: 4:00 pm
Character: Character 5:30 pm
Awards 7:00 pm
The team all rides the bus there together and home together. We will be leaving Cyprus High School at 5:30 am. We have to leave that early so we can check in and get time on the floor to mark formations before the competition start at 8:00 am. The start the competition with the Lyrical, Hip Hop, Officers, and Open Category. These are non mandatory categories. The military category starts at 11:50 am if you are wanting a good seat I would try and get there by then. There are lots of schools at this comp so it will be a packed house. I dont have a for sure price yet on entry fee but it is usually between $6.00 - $8.00 to enter. Girls I know there is a long time from when you check in until you dance but be grateful that is more time for us to be 100% ready to go out and kill it on the floor.
The night before is solo competition and we go as a team to support the girls who are competing. The girls do not need to pay to get in but are required to ride the bus as a team. We will leave Cyprus Friday around 4:00 pm. Because the solo comp starts at 5:00. Soloist you may enter the building at 3:30 to start getting ready. When you get there you will draw a number to determine your order. This comp is in the auditorium at Davis High. Girls it is a long night but so exciting for our girls who are competiting solos so bring some snack and stuff because we dont leave until after awards. Which means you need to pack your bad for team comp the night before so that you can jump right in bed when you get home. I will post more details as we get closer. xoxoxo
