Try Outs!!

Competition tryouts are in a week I hope everyone is feeling prepared and ready to do their very best. Our routines are tough this year, so we are being super strict at tryouts, so please make sure you do whatever necessary this last week before tryouts to get where you need to be. You girls are awesome and I am sooooooo excited to get back to practice. Hope you all are too. xoxoxo

Online Statements

Dear Parents,

                              Just a heads up because I have some parents concerned because their online statement says you owe a lot more than you actually do, so please know that she hasn't updated them yet, so it will not be your accurate amount. Hopefully she will get them updated before school starts. I was going to email out statements last week until I saw all the concerts we had this week so once I have the pay for the concerts this week I will send updated statements. Thanks for being patient. Hope everyone is doing well.

Concert Shirts

Dear Parents and Spinnakers,
 

                   Please please please. If you are working a Maverick or USANA concert go pick up your shirt from Tiffany Anderson's house so we can get the shirts paid for. Their is a big chunk that still havent been picked up so if you could get all shirts picked up by Friday that would be great. The cost per shirt is $6.50. Thanks

Golf Tournament Planning Meeting

If You Are A Parent And Would Like To Help With Our Golf Tournament There Will Be A Planning Meeting Monday August 5th 7:30 pm in The High School Cafeteria. If You Cant Make It And Would Like To Help Just Send Me An Email Or Text And I Will Assign You Out Something. Just So Everyone Knows Our Golf Tournament Is September 14th @ Stansburry Golf Course Each Girls Is Required To Get A Team of 4 Golfers Put Together.(Start Asking Everyone You Know Now) Each Golfer Will Have A Fee Of $65.00 (Which Will Include Their Lunch, Golf Cart, And Tee- Shirt). Also Just A Heads Up We Do A Raffle At Our Lunch So Each Girl If Required To Get So Many Donations. If You Know Of Any Businesses Who Would Be Willing To Donate Or Sponsor Start Putting The Word In Their Ear. The Girls Will Have Their Donation Assignments And Golf Tickets By The Middle Of August But Its Never To Early To Start Advertising. Thanks.

Important Dates

Dear Spinnakers The Following Events Were Brought To My Attention Today, So I Want To Make Sure You Girls Knew ASAP, So You Could Coordinate Your Schedules. First On August 6th at 8:30 am The School Would Like You Girls To Dance At The Sophomore Orientation. We Will Be Doing Camp Dance, So Make Sure You Are Perfecting Yourself In That Dance Because We Will Only Have One Practice When We Get Back To Go Over It. Also Remember Routine Tryouts Are That Night. Next Item Is The Relay For Life August 9th At 8:00 pm.We Have Been Asked To Do Flag And Blood Alley Everyone Will Be Required To Be There. Last Thing Is We Will Also Be Dancing At The Hello Assembly On The 23rd of August They Are Doing Two Assemblies So Going To Be 9th Graders I Will Be Contacting Your Counselor To Hopefully Excuse You Girls. Last Couple Of Important Dates. Remember Shirts Orders Are Due To Me Via Email Sunday the 21st of July, And Team Pictures Are August 8th. Hope Everyone Is Doing Well. XOXO

Dear Spinnies,

                          I hope you are enjoying your summer break and that everyone is doing well. Just wanted to let you know tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th from 4:30-8:30 pm. That night you will tryout for military, dance and kick. The next day at practice so, August 7th, you will try out for sabre routine. That only leaves you with Monday, when we get back from drill to review, so I hope you girls are working really hard. Free Concert Tickets

Diamond wants to give out Manilow tickets to the non profit groups to show their appreciation for all of our efforts this year. If you are interested in going to the Barry Manilow concert at the Maverick Center on Friday the 12th please contact either me or tiffany by Wednesday morning please. Thanks.

Blog Postings Over Summer

Spinnakers and Parents please make sure you are still checking the blog regularly over the summer break please and thank you.

Last thing we will be posting on the blog here in week shirt orders for parents and families. We have some awesome designs that I am excited about, so look for those pictures and order forms coming soon.

Concert

We had another concert come available the 12th of July at the Maverick Center it is Barry Manilow. If you are interested will you please text or call either Tiffany or myself. Thanks so much.

Grades

Dear Spinnakers I want you to know I am very proud of your grades this last quarter. Every one met the grade requirements so I dont have to worry about girls being on probation for grades so thank you so much. Also I calculated your team GPA and it was 3.498 that is AMAZING. Let keep it up girls. Grades are so important so please make sure you aren't being lazy and that you are getting your work done and turned in on time. Just wanted to quickly acknowledge our 4.0's: Bailey Greer,  Brittney Jacketta, Myranda Peterson, Nicole Mortensen, and Shayla Bywater and not only did the last four names get a 4.0 this quarter they get a 4.0 all year and that is such a HUGE accomplishment, so awesome job. Keep up the good work. XOXO

Last Minute Parade Details and Changes

Dear Spinnies and Parents,

                                There has been a slight change in our schedule for Thursdays parade. We will not be able to get into the school that day, so it is each girls responsibility to make sure she comes with the following items on looking PROFESSIONAL. You need to have your hair perfectly slicked (remember slick side not back) in a low pony so right at the base of your neck parted on the left. You need to apply sunscreen everywhere and on face before you do make up. Once sunscreen is on make sure you wear some type of foundation or base make up. Then put on your fake lashes with a little bit of mascara to make them pop. You also need to arrive with your blue dresses on, black spandex under, tan bras, tights, and gore boots. And of course your sabre. We will now be meeting in the church parking lot (3100 South 8400 West) at 10:45 am SHARP. We then at that time will have girls applying eyeshadow on you, and you will do your blush and lips so make sure you bring a little mirror. After make up is all done we will warm up sabre then try and stay cool until the parade starts at 12:00 pm. Parents they will not let you park at the church only drop off so if you need to park you need to park back at the high school and walk. The parade ends at the senior citizen center so if you would like to pick your daughter up at the end of the parade that's where you need to. Pack everything you need before parade in your team sling bags and after you are done with make up you can put your bags in my car and I will lock it up and I will hurry back to my car after parade for those who need to get their stuff and go. 

The Spinnakers are position number 52 in the parade. I am really excited for parade.You girls have worked hard. Your awesome blistered hands are proof. If you would like to tape your hand for parade or wrap it that's a great idea just make sure its a tan color. Also if you have tape on your sabre to help from sliding it has to match the black on the handle. Please let me know if you have ANY questions regarding parade. After parade you are excused and I will see you all August 5th. Please be smart and safe over the summer. Remember I always fund out about everything you girls are doing so be on your best behavior. Work hard on your combos and packets. Call each other out and help each other. Thanks for being such an amazing team. Sara and I love you to pieces. XOXOX

Work Out Calendars

Girls just a reminder to dedicate yourselves this summer and dont miss one day on your calendars. If you are going on vaca take it with you. Parents please encourage your daughters to do their work out schedules everyday. Their combos are tough and only those who have the combos with make competition routines so they rest of your drill season depends on what work you put in this month. Love you girls and I am proud of you girls. Lets have an awesome last practice before break. Love Ya.

Parade Try Outs

Just a reminder if your name is not on this list to not be defeated to just keep working hard. Some of you are so close you just need a couple more weeks of practice. Please everyone work hard this month because come back August we will have retry tryouts for sabre routine and  homecoming parade. Congrats to those who made it and please remember just because you made it today doesn't guarantee your spot. You have to earn it everyday.  Tomorrow Sara and I will meet with those who didnt make it one at a time to go over what you need to work on and perfect! Last thing if you didn't  make
