This Weeks Schedule

Dear Spinnakers and Parents here is the schedule for this week.

Monday - A Day No Practice

Tuesday - Morning Practice 5:30-8:30 am Night Practice 5:30-8:30

Wednesday - No Practice

Thursday - Morning Practice 5:30-8:30 am. No night practice because of the Utah game we are working. Check in time is at 5:00 pm and the game doesn't start until 8:00 pm which means we wont be done until around 10:30-11:00 so it will be a late night. Here is what we need to do if you don't have a first hour Friday could you let me know and I will have you come an hour later so check in at 6:00 then we will have you stay after to help clean up. If you do have a first hour then I will have you check in at 5:00 and I will excuse you to go as soon as the sales are done so you wont have to clean up and we can try and get it you out earlier. Please try and car pool accordingly and make sure everyone working this game has their food handlers and if you have a tip jar please bring it. Make sure you let me know if you have switched your shift with someone and also if you have any questions. Make sure you wear leggings with your black spinnaker t shirt hair pulled back and closed toed shoes on. Read the past post of the last game to see where to check in, :)

Friday - No Practice but we are going as a team to support the football team play at Clearfield High School. We try and attend a game of every sport and this will be a good one to go support the football team at. If you absolutely cant make it let me know otherwise we will meet at 6:00 pm at the school and carpool up if your car decides to get dinner that's up to your car but the only money you need might be a couple dollars to get into the game with your student ID. Let me know if this is will be problem for you I don't want people to stress about it. If you don't have money to get food just pack some snacks it will be perfect. It is so fun to g to games together as a team though and just to have fun.

Statements

Dear Parents I apologize you have not yet received your statements with the USANA and Maverick concerts they messed up on our check and under paid us by like $1200.00 so Tiffany is working on getting that sorted out with them. As soon as that is cleared up I will get those updated and sent out ASAP. I will push the due date back to the 8th of October because of the delay. Thanks for you patience and I will do my best to get them out this weekend along with the expense breakdown :)

Detailed Homecoming Schedule

Dear Parents and Spinnakers,

                                        Here is everything you need to know for Homecoming Week. Yay!! This is a really fun week so lets work hard, be prepared, and have fun.

Monday: Practice 5:30-8:30 am. We will be decorating the dance hall during 1st hour so make sure to bring what your captain assigned you please. :)

Tuesday: Night Practice 5:30-8:30 pm: We will practice with dance co and cheer during our practice out on the field.

Wednesday: Morning Practice 5:30-8:30 am: After school we will have practice with dance co and cheer to make sure we are ready to go for our performance. We will practice with them from 2:30 to 4:00. Then we will all go in the dance room and get ready together as a team for parade and practice. We will be doing sabre for parade. Since this is going to be a long day. It would be smart to pack a healthy dinner to go. I will give you time to eat it while we are getting ready but I wont excuse anyone to go get food so make sure if you think you will be hungry to pack some healthy snacks or a sack dinner. For parade you will wear your warm ups and you gold sequin high tops. Hair will be in a low slicked straight pony parted on the left and we will wear our team make up so make sure you come prepared with everything. The parade starts at 6:00 pm after the parade is the powder puff game that starts at 7:00 pm. If you are playing please be careful.

Thursday: We will be doing flag and blood alley for the Hall of fame assembly. Since it is in the auditorium and we wont be able to fit all of you on the stage vertically. We will just have seniors do blood alley and officers do flag. So please make sure that seniors you come to the assembly in your warm ups and gold sequin shoes. Hair and makeup just make sure they look professional please. After the assembly you can change into what you would like to wear to school. We then will have night practice 5:30 - 8:30 pm.

Friday: Today will be a busy day. Morning practice 5:30-8:30 am: We will be performing at the alumni assembly, doing flag, and blood alley. Everyone will do blood alley, and flag group number 3 will do flag. We will be performing our team hip hop. So make sure you have your costumes clean and wrinkle free.Make sure you have black tights on under your leggings, your blue shoes, and head band. Hair will be down and curly, and we will wear team make up. After we perform you will put on your warm ups and wear those to school. After school we have tradition to go out to eat as a team at El Habanero. So everyone on the team needs to meet there at 3:30 pm sharp (except officers at 3:00). You will be required to pay for your dinner if you need some help with this please let me know. I dont want this to be a stress  you shouldn't need more than $10.00 but please please please talk to me if you need help. Anyway after we have our team dinner we will head over to the school and get ready for our performance that night. At 6:00 pm we head over behind the football stands for the pep rally. We will be doing balloon sabres and having a good time. At 6:40 we will get ready for flag. Flag group number 4. Then get ready for our performance. For our sabre routine we will be wearing our blue dresses, tan tights, tan shoes and hair in low curly pony with our team make up.

This is going to be an awesome homecoming week. Let have fun and make memories and let our hard work pay off . Please take care of yourselves by eating healthy, getting sleep, and taking vitamins we can't afford to have people sick this week.  Love you girls let me know if you have any questions. xoxox

HUGE THANKS

I just want to thank all you girls again for helping make our golf tournament so successful. Huge thanks to the parents to because we couldn't do it without you either. My heart is full of gratitude for all the amazing people Sara and I get to work with. You girls are all amazing and so are you parents. The administration has all our money in the safe at the school so as soon as Carolyn counts it I will post how much we made. Also parents I will be sending out updated statements here this next week and along with that statement I will send a financial breakdown of where every penny is going this year. The girls are doing great fundraising this year and we really appreciate it because having to buy ALL new costumes make for a very expensive year, but we are doing great and the girls costumes will be so beautiful. Thanks again love you all.

Quick Note

Parents I just want you to know I never want you to have to buy your daughters tickets (car wash, lunch) if your daughter is having trouble selling tickets she needs to come talk to us in advance and we will help her and give her some ideas. Its not my intent to stress you guys out financially or physically because I know a bunch of parents have put a ton of work into our fundraisers and I really appreciate it but please have your daughters talk to us if they have done everything they can and are still struggling you dont need to pay anymore than what you have to. Sorry if this has stressed some of you out. Thanks again  for all your support and for being so amazing.

Homecoming Week Schedule

Monday - Morning Practice but we will spend some of practice doing hall decorating. Captains will assign you what you need to bring.

Tuesday - Night Practice


Wednesday - Morning Practice,  After School Practice from 2:30-4:00 for homecoming marking the field with cheer and dance co. Parade is also this night starting at 6:00 pm and the powder-puff game starting at 7:00 pm. A side note on that. You dont play powder-puff as an excuse to beat up a girl you dont like. It for fun so if you aren't playing it for fun or if you know someone who is playing to go after you dont play. Its not worth you getting hurt. Love ya.

Thursday - Night Practice but we also have the Hall of Fame Assembly Where We Will Do Flag and Blood Alley. This Assembly will be in the auditorium and will begin at 8:45 am

Friday - Morning practice. Alumni Assembly. We will do flag, blood alley, and perform at this assembly. After school we have dinner together as a team. Get ready. Then go out to the pep rally. We will be performing with dance co and cheer this night for the big homecoming half time and also doing blood alley for royalty and for all the past 20 class presidents for Cyprus high. (By the end of this week you will be amazing at blood alley).

This is a busy week girls but it is lots of fun. Please get plenty of rest this week and take care of your bodies we are coming into flu season and we dont need girls out sick so please take lots of vitamins drink lots of water and lets have an amazing week. xoxoxo

Tomorrows Schedule

Dear Spinnakers since we are not doing Edge tomorrow anymore you now need to arrive at 5:00 pm instead of 4:30 pm.  Do not be late we will quickly review the dance make sure everyone is ready and has everything then we will be loading the bus and heading over to Rio Tinto. We will arrive at Rio Tinto at 6:00 pm then we will look at the field and talk about where you should be since we wont be able to go on the field to mark. After we have mentally marked the field we will stretch and review the dance before we perform. We will be doing camp dance for the last time. We will be doing Edge at the game on the 27th so if I have to make cuts I will please practice really hard at home. Thanks xoxox.

You need to arrive to the school tomorrow at 5:00 pm 100% ready. Everyone should have their make up and I will give you glitter Friday morning so make sure to bring your cases. Make up is the same as all the other games the only thing you shouldn't have on should be blush and we will do that as soon as you get to the school. We will be wearing Spinnaker tops with gold shorts tan tights tan bras and tan gore boots. Come with your warm ups on over. Hair in a SLICKED low pony parted on the left with your ponytail completely straight please. Let me know if you have any questions. This will be really fun so lets have a good day, be on time, and all have a good attitude. xoxox

Golf Tournament Info

Dear Spinnakers just a reminder that if you have a company sponsoring a hole THEY are responsible to advertise not us. Please make sure you are telling this to them.

For our lunch we are having pulled pork sandwiches, chips, variety of salads, cookies for dessert, and a drink of their choice. We will have big coolers full of water bottles and a variety of soft drinks. We will also be selling waters and soft drinks at the holes so if you have a cooler you could let us use for the day please text me and let me know. Thanks. We have everything for the lunch taken care of except for the salads so we were hoping as a team each girl be a assigned a different kind of salad and have her bring it that way we keep the cost to a minimum. So below I will list what I have assigned you if this is a problem in any way please let me know. Thanks again for all your hard work into this golf tournament I am so excited.

 I forgot to mention to you girls. Any lunch tickets you sale over the 10 required go to your account so if you want, you have the weekend to try and sale as many lunch tickets as you can for a personal fundraiser. We have some REALLY awesome prizes this year at the raffle so try and sale your lunch tickets by talking up the raffle.

Spinnakers you will be required to be there the entire day because there is lots to do from setting up for the lunch and raffle to getting people checked in and we will assign girls to different wholes and rotate every so often. Everyone needs to be to the stansburry golf course at 6:45 am so we can get the check in tables set up as golfers will start arriving at 7:00 to check in. You need to wear your try out shirt with the pirate skull and your tack shorts. You can do your hair how you want. After the first tee time has started we will start getting the raffle and lunch set up. You girls will all receive free lunch, but it will be a long day so if you want to bring waters, sunscreen and some snack I would highly suggest it. :) Lunch starts at 12:00 pm and the raffle starts at 12:15 SHARP. Raffle tickets will be sold at the golf check in table. $2.00 a ticket or 3 tickets for $5.00. The last tee time is at 1:00 so suggest they be there right at 11:45 am check in and get lunch so they can eat and participate in the raffle before they have to go golf. Once the last tee time has gone we will have girls helping clean up and girls at the holes. Plan on being done between 4-5.

Last thing there will be awesome prizes for the overall winners each tee time. And for the longest drive and closest to the hole each tee time as well. Woot Woot.

Girls I know this is a long day but it will be worth it when you are sporting your awesome new competition costumes. I know we are doing a lot of team fundraisers and I really appreciate it but it is rare to have to purchase 6 new costumes in one year. We are getting awesome new military, dance, character, and lyrical. And thanks to the car wash we got Hip Hop and Sabre Costumes. Lets stay motivated for the golf tournament and be so kind and gracious to all those who are coming out to support us.Thanks. Love you all. xoxoxox

Fair Shifts

Solo Competition Registration

Dear Spinnakers if you plan on competing a solo this year there will be a couple requirements. Number one your account balance must be up to date. If you cannot make your team payments you probably shouldn't be competing a solo because it is pretty pricey, but hopefully that wont be a problem. Next if you are competing a solo it must be finished by October 22nd. You will show Sara and I your solos and we will give you some critiques to help you have the best chance at competitions. You do not have to tryout you just need to be prepared no last minute throwing solos together. If you do not show us a solo October 22nd then you will not be able to compete in solo comps or at review. Please let me know if you have any questions. You have 6 weeks to get your solos learned it doesn't have to be perfect just finished so you have 6 weeks to perfect it until our first comp. Thanks XOXO

This Weeks Schedule

              Leave at 5:30 for football game at Rio Tinto. We have a bus and will be leaving at 5:30. We will meet at 4:30 to get ready as a team then we will load the bus and head over and get ready to perform. I will post all the details about Friday like what to wear and how to so hair and all that good stuff. 
Parents as far as I know you just buy tickets at the stadium you dont need to pre-order them. 

Saturday - U of U Game check in 9:00 am done around 2:30 pm

If you are working U of U this Saturday Please Read!!

The Utah vs Weber State game will be on Saturday, September 7th.  Please plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. - ready to open for gates at 10 a.m. - the actual event starts at Noon.  
 
Everyone will need ID - LAST EVENT WE HAD 20 WORKERS WITHOUT ID ON THE BLACK LIST - if you happen to be one of these you will not be allowed in without ID again this year - so remember your ID please!!!!!!!!!!
 
Check in is South of the West Side Truck Bay 4 - check in closes 15 minutes after kick off (12:15) - no one will be let in after that.  With this being a Saturday game we expect all groups to arrive on time!!        
 
Please sign in on your specific groups sign in sheet.  I encourage groups to use the Utah aprons that will be available just after you check in - from there they will tell you what stand you will be manning for the event.  Yes, you can wear your team shirts if ALL have them and we ask that you wear the Ute colors of red and white under your aprons.
 
Please remember to follow Health Code Rules, specifically hair, jewelry and closed toed shoes.  Tip jars are welcome!

Parking:  I Highly recommend car pools and trax, etc. All parking lots on campus are charging $5 entry for events this year.  You can access the campus parking for football at the following link:

As A Team we will wear our tryouts shirts the pirate skull one. Make sure you wear closed toed shoes, hair pulled back and no jewlery. Please also make sure you bring your food handlers and your picture ID. Thanks girls. Lets make the best of this and have a fun time together. xoxox
